Los Realejos

There is a large number of archaeological sites within the borough; such as the El Guindaste burial cave or the Gordejuela cave settlement and burial ground, where human remains and domestic utensils have been found.

There have been other important finds in Rambla de Castro, Los Picachos, La Longuera, Llanuras de Méndez, El Molcán and the Poncio an dRuiz ravines.

The parish church of Santiago, built in 1498, has been modified on several occasions over the centuries; the tower dates from the 17th century and it conserves pieces of great beauty and artistic value inside.

The parish church of La Concepción, in Realejo de Abajo, must also be on the list. It still conserves its fine main doors and some internal structures, despite a serious fire in the 60's.

The buildings of the town reflect the typical local architecture.
