Tacoronte

Tacoronte is a highly agricultural town of fertile fields. The rolling hills are where the vines grow to produce its famous red wines.

The old chapel of Las Angustias is now the Santuario del Cristo de Tacoronte, with a beautiful multi-coloured 17th century figure. The parish church holds the figure of the Virgen del Carmen, made by Luján Pérez.

A conference on wine growing and a regional wine competition has been held every year in the old Corn Exchange building since 1978.

The rugged Tacoronte coast line includes many quiet coves, such as Pris, and startling tourist complexes.

The restaurants and eating houses of Tacoronte enjoy the same fame as its wines.
