Santiago del Teide

PLAYA DE LA ARENA

Playa de la Arena is just half a kilometre from the fishing village of Puerto Santiago. It is one of the finest coves on the island and it also has the brightest sunlight on Tenerife (Protection is recommended).

It has lots of black sand, and is equipped with changing rooms and showers. It also has gardens. You can rent sun beds, sun umbrellas and pedal boats. There are many bars and restaurants on or near the beach. It has been awarded the Blue Flag every year since 1989, making it one of the beaches that has won most prizes in Spain.

PLAYA DE LOS GUÍOS

This beach, also known as Playa de Argel, is between the tourist complex of Acantilados de Los Gigantes and the Los Gigantes cliffs, close to the yacht marina, behind the Poblado Marino. You get a spectacular view of the cliffs from the beach. It is a beach of fine black sand, in one of the brightest areas of Tenerife (protection is recommended).
On the beach, you can rent pedal boats, sun beds and sun umbrellas. There is also a bar restaurant.
Boats leave the neighbouring yacht marina for the beach of Masca, with magnificent views of the sea-battered cliffs.
