The protagonists Clara and the Nutcracker transport us to a fantastic story and delight us with sublime dances thanks to the original choreography of Marius Petipá and Lev Ivanov.
The Nutcracker is a two-act ballet, originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The libretto is an adaptation of Hoffmann's tale "The Nutcracker and the King Mouse". It premiered at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, on December 18, 1892, in double session with the opera of Tchaikovsky, Iolanta.
